Introspection

Things about me that I have never understood:

*Why do I dislike myself so much?
*Why do I feel that others are simultaneously threatening yet somehow necessary?
*Why am I not comfortable sitting down when I am in large crowds?
*Why am I so often troubled by my own thoughts?
*Why am I so much more concerned with the happiness of others than that of my own?
*Why can I sleep 6 hours and get up fine, but at 7 hours or more I struggle greatly?
*Why can I feel so many conflicting emotions at the same time?
*Why do I have to try so hard to control my emotions?
*Why do I get mildly depressed when I see an attractive woman?
*Why do I so frequently want to be alone?
*Why don’t my second knuckles have any hair on them?
*Why do I instinctively distance myself from others?
*Why am I so intimidated by women?
*Why don’t I cry more often?
*Why are people so susceptible to bias?
*Why do I feel like I am so different from other people?
*Why am I so nice to people who don’t deserve it?

Other things that I have never understood:

*Why does the word “Weird” not follow the “I before E” rule?
*Why can’t electrons have different charge values?
*Why is it that so often the thing you want most is the thing you’ll never have?
*Why do rain drops form at such a seemingly constant rate?
*Why is carbon so much more versatile than other elements?

I'm going to be annoying and answer some of these:

The sleeping one is because if you sleep 6 hours, you're probably waking right after a REM cycle and will feel most alert. After that, you're probably waking up during some Delta waves, or "deep" sleep.

Electrons can't have different charge values, but the lose or gain of electrons can create a positive or negative charge.

Weird doesn't follow the I before E rule, because the whole saying is "Use i before e except after c or when sounded like a as in neighbor or weigh". Weird used to be pronounced with an A sound until the great vowel shift.

Carbon is the most versatile because it can create four different types of bonds because it has an sp2 orbital.
